The Langley

The Langley is Langley Park, the stone house Stiff Leadbetter built between 1755 and 1760 for the 3rd Duke of Marlborough as a hunting lodge, on the site of a medieval royal deer park near Iver. Capability Brown laid out the park and its lake for the 4th Duke, and the curved wings with their square towers were added around 1850. After a six-year renovation, the house opened in 2019 as a Luxury Collection hotel of 41 bedrooms and suites across the main house and the Grade II listed Brew House, with 150 acres of gardens and parkland around it, less than four miles from Windsor Castle.

The main event room is the Winter Garden, the house's Victorian orangery, south-facing with floor-to-ceiling windows, a mezzanine for a bar or a band, and a terrace that can take a marquee. It seats 100 for dinner and holds 100 for a reception. Below stairs, the Boot Room was the family kitchen and keeps its original features, with its own door from the drive for a drinks reception of 40.

For smaller dinners, the Lake Room opens through French windows onto the terrace and seats 12, and the Wine Cellar, the original cellar of the house, seats ten among the hotel's wine and champagne. The whole estate can be taken on an exclusive basis, which brings in every bedroom, the Cedar restaurant, the Churchill Bar with its humidor, the Drawing Room and the grounds.
