Oakley Court is a Victorian Gothic mansion built in 1859 on a private stretch of the Thames at Water Oakley, between Windsor and Bray, with 35 acres of lawns and gardens running down to the river. Its turrets have appeared on film, The Rocky Horror Picture Show among them, and Queen Elizabeth II once arrived by boat from Windsor Castle. The house was reworked by Eagle & Hodges, the studio of Alex Eagle and Sophie Hodges, who furnished it like a private home: Victorian panelling, mid-century chairs, chinoiserie and fine art curated by Eagle.

The estate can be taken whole for a day, a night or a weekend. Exclusive use brings all 95 bedrooms in the Mansion House and Boathouse, every event space, the lounges, the Terrace Restaurant and the grounds, with bicycles and self-drive boats on the river. The Big Room has its own entrance and seats 140 for a wedding or a celebration dinner.

Smaller parties stay in the Mansion House. The Drawing Room is its largest room, with two fireplaces; the Green Room is hung wall to wall with paintings and pairs with the palm-filled Conservatory; the Library pairs with the Sitting Room, where a kitchen island lets a guest chef cook in front of the table. Akira Shimizu serves a ten-seat omakase there on Friday and Saturday evenings, and in summer River House opens at weekends on the riverbank.
