The Fuji Grill

The Fuji Grill is the Japanese restaurant on the ground floor of Beaverbrook Town House, the Beaverbrook estate's Knightsbridge address in a pair of restored Georgian houses at the top of Sloane Street. Designed by Nicola Harding, the dining room is panelled in sage green and hung with Japanese woodblock prints, with deep green banquettes and globe pendant lighting. The kitchen works a 'tapasu' menu of Japanese sharing plates and hand-rolled temaki, and a counter runs a sushi omakase in the evenings.

Two spaces take private events. The Omakase Bar seats up to fourteen beside the chef's counter, a semi-private setting for dinner with the sushi chefs in view. The Butterfly Room, on the lower ground floor, is panelled in rose lacquer and mirrored glass and lined with framed Japanese butterfly prints; it seats sixteen for a meal or holds thirty for a reception, opens onto a private planted courtyard, and carries a presentation screen for daytime meetings.

The enclosed basement setting keeps sound contained, which suits an intimate dinner with a DJ over a larger party. Hire runs through the house's events team, by arrangement rather than a published package.
