/ About

The Conduit is a private members' club for people working on social, environmental and economic change, and since 2022 it has occupied a six-floor building on Langley Street in Covent Garden. The interiors pair a minimalist Scandinavian frame with vibrant textiles, ceramics and hand-painted murals sourced from artisans across Southern Africa, set against the building's original exposed-brick walls. Plants supplied by the social enterprise The Glasshouse run through every floor.

For private events the club opens up an unusually varied set of spaces. The first-floor Forum is a blank-canvas events room with AV, projector screens and wireless microphones, built for everything from conferences and screenings to private dinners. Up on the third floor the Ubuntu Lounge works as a daytime meeting space and turns into a cocktail bar from 6pm, while the second-floor Nobel Rooms offer three light-filled, book-lined rooms that can be taken together or separately. The rooftop, home to the restaurant Rucola and a planted pergola terrace with retractable screens, looks out across the London skyline.

With a resident events team that can arrange a DJ, live music and catering, and the Ubuntu Lounge licensed for exclusive evening hire until 1am, the club suits intimate, design-led parties as readily as seated dinners. The food and drink programme leans hard on seasonality and ethical sourcing, in keeping with the club's wider mission.
