/ About
The Chesterfield Mayfair occupies three 18th-century townhouses on Charles Street, a quiet address behind Berkeley Square. Named for the 4th Earl of Chesterfield, whose portrait hangs in the lobby, the house has counted the Walpoles and the Churchills among its past residents, and became Red Carnation Hotels' first property in 1984.
Nine rooms sit behind its Georgian facade, from the oak-panelled Library and the hexagonal Salon to the glass-roofed Conservatory and the first-floor Royal Suite, which takes the hotel's largest parties. Butlers Restaurant, known for its tableside Dover sole, is available as an exclusive buyout for dinners and wedding breakfasts, and Stanley's, a rooftop bar added in 2025, offers a private, open-air setting above the rooftops of Mayfair.
Every space can be booked on its own or combined for a larger event, with an events team on hand for meetings, private dining, weddings and receptions.
