/ About
The Bloomsbury Club Bar is the cocktail bar of The Bloomsbury hotel on Great Russell Street, and a separate room from the hotel’s Coral Room. The Doyle Collection reopened it in June 2016 with interiors drawn from the 1920s and 30s and from the Bloomsbury Set, the literary circle that once called the borough home.
The bar is finished in rich wood and opens onto a covered outdoor terrace, a grotto of twinkling lights and booths, with air-conditioning and heaters to keep it in use through the year. Live music runs through the week, jazz above all, and the current cocktail list, The Listeners Club, takes its cue from five eras of music, from jazz and swing to the early 21st century.
Taken privately, the whole bar holds up to 90 standing guests, with AV for live music and a room that stays open late. It suits a birthday, a cocktail party or a year-end celebration where the music is part of the evening.
