/ About
High above Knightsbridge, on the top floor of The Berkeley, an open-air rooftop bar wraps around the hotel's heated swimming pool. The outlook is one of central London's more generous: the red-brick roofs of Knightsbridge in the foreground, the crescents of Belgravia to one side and the treetops of Hyde Park stretching out beyond the glass balustrade. Striped loungers line the poolside, a flower-clad bar anchors the terrace, and marble café tables sit among potted lemon trees and olive trees.
A daytime pool retreat for hotel guests, the rooftop opens to the public through the warmer months as an evening destination, taking on a fresh seasonal identity each summer. The current season, Capri in the City in collaboration with Acqua di Parma, brings an Italian-coast mood to the terrace: citrus-led cocktails, spritzes and a menu of sharing plates and pizzas from the poolside oven. It sits apart from The Berkeley's ground-floor bars as a lighter, sun-facing counterpoint to the hotel's interior rooms.
For private events the rooftop pool is available for exclusive use, styled to suit a reception, launch or celebration, with small plates and cocktails served from the pool bar and Hyde Park as the backdrop. Availability follows the season, so spring and summer are the natural windows; enquiries route through The Berkeley's events team.
