Skinners' Hall

The whole building taken on one hire — twelve spaces across four floors, from the stone-vaulted undercroft to the roof terrace, taking over 500 guests. The Great Hall, the Outer Hall and the Inner Courtyard connect for 450; the Court Room, roof terrace and gallery run together for 370.

The largest of the three open-air spaces, and the clearest sign of the rebuild: a pavilion of European oak, brick, limestone and stainless steel added to the roofline in the 2024 works, giving step-free access to the Court for the first time. Holds 250 for a reception, and joins the Court Room for 320.

The principal room, dating from 1678 and lined with Sir Frank Brangwyn's mural cycle beneath a gilded coffered ceiling. It stood in as the courtroom in Paddington 2. Round tables for 160, a top table and sprigs for 180, or 200 standing; it opens into the Outer Hall for 250.

The arrival courtyard, entered through the ceremonial gates, with planting by Chelsea gold medallists Tommaso del Buono and Paul Gazerwitz. Takes 180 standing on its own and runs with the Great Hall and Outer Hall for 450.

A self-contained suite of three interconnected rooms — dining room, reception room and parlour — with its own entrance, kitchen and facilities, taken only as a complete package. The dining room seats 18 at a central table; the suite holds 140 across the three rooms.

The basement vaults, a scheduled ancient monument that survived the Great Fire and sat unused for years until the redevelopment turned them into an event space. Bare stone groin vaults, a private entrance from College Street, and a room that swallows sound. Seats 50, holds 100.

Built on the ground of Dick Whittington's former college, and the room to ask about first for a party: it is the one space in the building with a fitted dance floor. Tall windows, a white marble chimneypiece, 50 seated or 90 standing, and it opens into the Committee Room for 120.

The grand entrance, panelled and double-height, with a round gallery running above it, an open fire and the polished East India table at its centre. It works as the drinks reception before dinner next door, and holds 90 on its own.

Lined in rare Virginian cedar and hung with a chandelier, the Court Room opens straight onto the roof terrace, which is what makes it useful: an inside room and an outside one, taken together, for 320. On its own it seats 50 or holds 70.

Oak panelled and hung with the Company's portraits, used as a breakout from the Old Court Room next door or as a room in its own right. Seats 12, holds 30.
