Ronnie Scott's

Ronnie Scott and Pete King opened the club in 1959 and moved it to 47 Frith Street six years later, where it has stayed. It was the first British club to book American jazz musicians on a regular basis, and the stage has since carried Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Chet Baker, Jimi Hendrix, Prince and Amy Winehouse. The Main Club has kept its shape: red banquettes tiered back toward a low stage, fringed lamps on the tables, and photographs of the musicians who played here covering the walls.

Around 250 guests sit at tables, with dinner and drinks served through both performances — there are two most evenings, seven nights a week, plus late sets from Wednesday to Saturday, and the club runs to 3am Tuesday through Saturday. Most of what a private event needs is already installed: a stage, a house sound system, stage lighting and a room built to be heard in. Hire is arranged directly with the club rather than sold as a published package.

Above it, Upstairs at Ronnie's reopened in February 2026 after a full rebuild: 140 seats, its own bar and kitchen, a grand piano, and acoustics designed from scratch. Its programme is broader than the main room's, taking in soul, gospel, R&B and classical alongside jazz. A third space, The Greene Rooms, is due in 2027.
