/ About
Mr Fogg's Apothecary occupies the corner of Brook Street and South Molton Lane, opposite Claridge's, behind a green Victorian shopfront lettered P. J. Fogg & Co. The ground floor is dressed as the dispensary itself: a stone fireplace, a marble floor inlaid with dark squares, and mahogany cabinets carrying several hundred bottles, retorts and jars. A striped staircase runs down from it to the Apothecary Room, where a long marble-topped bar sits under arched shelves stocked to the ceiling.
The rooms below are the ones that take a party. The Apothecary Room runs the length of the building in green velvet chesterfields, patterned curtains and framed prints, with the bar at one end and small tables through to the other. Off it, the Elixir Room keeps its own entrance and bathrooms, a private drinks bar and three booths set into marbled alcoves under gilt portraits. Both are hired seven days a week, daytime included, and the licence runs to two in the morning on Friday and Saturday.
This is the second Mayfair address for Inception Group's Fogg's collection, which opened its Residence on Bruton Lane in 2013. The Apothecary followed in June 2022, and Thursday nights carry live music.
