/ About
Mortimer House occupies a seven-storey Art Deco building on Mortimer Street, a short walk from Oxford Circus, and has anchored Fitzrovia's members' scene since 2017. Now part of the Maslow's group, it folds a members' club, design-led workspace and the public Mortimer House Kitchen restaurant into one address, with characterful floors that shift from co-working desks by day to soft seating and a members' bar by night. The interiors lean into the building's heritage: terrazzo and mosaic in the lobby, mid-century furniture, deep blues and greens, and Crittall windows that frame the rooftops of W1.
For private events the building offers spaces across several floors. The Loft & Gallery sits at the top, a light-filled penthouse room with neutral finishes and a private balcony, used for everything from brand launches to drinks receptions. Below it are a glass-roofed Conservatory, a green-cabinetry Kitchen Table for chef's-table dinners, a lounge-style Drawing Room, two boardrooms wrapped in walnut shelving, and a mid-century Private Dining Room with views over Fitzrovia. A seasonal rooftop terrace adds open-air drinks above the street.
The mix suits intimate, design-conscious gatherings rather than large corporate functions. The Loft & Gallery is the room built for music, a blank-canvas space with room for a DJ setup and a layout that opens to the balcony, while the smaller dining and lounge rooms work for private dinners and after-hours sessions with a more personal feel.
