/ About
KX has been on Draycott Avenue since 2002, two decades before London's current run of wellness clubs. It is a private club first and a gym second: seven studios and a weights floor sit behind a plain Chelsea door, alongside a full spa that is one of the few parts open to non-members, and a members' restaurant running from breakfast to dinner.
The rooms are dark timber and low light rather than the pale wood of the newer clubs, and the Clubroom is where the house does its socialising. It is the space KX publishes for hire, for a party or a private function as readily as for a meeting. The restaurant beside it takes members and up to three guests each, which is the shape of the place: nobody comes in unaccompanied.
For a private occasion the appeal is the discretion and an address that gives nothing away from the street. Changing rooms, steam, sauna and hot and cold plunge pools sit below, so an evening here can run either way round.
