/ About
Jul's opened on Waterloo Place in March 2026, eight years after the original took root in Ibiza. Chef and co-founder Christos Fotos cooks Greek in instinct and Mediterranean in scope, built on British produce. The building is a former bank, and the fit-out by Athens studio ArcSet works with its period proportions rather than covering them: stone, plaster and wood, with blue walls pigmented from natural stone rather than paint.
The restaurant runs over three levels and each takes private events on its own terms. A glass wine wall 6.5 metres high runs the full height of the ground floor, which seats 75 and holds 100 standing. The Mezzanine sits above it behind a glass balustrade, with its own bar and a walk-in cellar, seating 45. Below the restaurant, Bar Eleven is the late room, a drinks laboratory where Dimitris Karapanos and Vasilis Sgouromallis work through distillation and infusion, with a DJ booth set against the far wall.
Bar Eleven sits a full floor beneath the dining rooms, which lets a party carry on downstairs after service finishes above. The alcohol licence runs to 2am. All three levels can be taken together for a full buyout, and an events director handles private bookings direct.
/ Rooms Available
The Ground Floor
Exclusive HireThe main dining room, and the room the building was built for. A glass wine wall 6.5 metres high runs its full height, arched street windows face Waterloo Place, and the original coffered ceiling and period detail have been kept. Marble tables, velvet banquettes and low light. Available on exclusive hire for dinners and receptions.
Bar Eleven
PrivateThe bar beneath the restaurant, reached by its own stair from the ground floor. Terracotta plaster walls, a gilded ceiling installation and backlit spirit shelves sit behind a long counter with stools; velvet banquettes and marble tables fill the room beyond it. A DJ booth stands against the far wall, and an in-house drinks laboratory run by Dimitris Karapanos and Vasilis Sgouromallis makes the cocktails through distillation and infusion. Taken on its own for receptions and late gatherings, or as the second half of a whole-house hire.
The Mezzanine
Semi PrivateSet above the main floor behind a glass balustrade, so the room keeps its own quiet while staying open to the restaurant below. It has its own bar and a walk-in wine cellar, with marble tables along the rail and arched windows at the far end. Semi-private, for group dining and celebratory dinners from twelve guests upwards.
