JOIA

JOIA occupies the top floors of art'otel London Battersea Power Station, and the view is the reason it was put there. Henrique Sá Pessoa opened it on 21 February 2023, his first London restaurant, cooking modern Portuguese with an Iberian reach across the 15th-floor dining room. Jaime Hayon designed the hotel around it, and the room carries his palette: soft corals and terracotta, curved velvet seating, original artwork, and floor-to-ceiling glass facing the Power Station chimneys.

Three floors hire, separately or together. The restaurant takes 185 standing or 87 seated and opens into Perola, the cocktail bar on the 15th floor, where arched shelving and a wall of ceramic fish sit under the same skyline. Above both, the rooftop runs along a heated infinity pool at the height of the chimneys and holds 250 for a reception, weather permitting. Taken whole, the three floors reach 350.

The music programme is the venue's own. DJ sets run Friday and Saturday from ten, Latin guitar and jazz play the weekend lunch sessions, and the rooftop books its own roster through the summer. Perola serves until one on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The events team writes menus and drinks packages in house, and will send the kitchen out to cater a reception elsewhere.
