Heritage House at Daylesford

Heritage House is the private events building on Daylesford Organic Farm, the Bamford family's estate near Kingham. It opened in February 2024, designed by Daylesford's in-house architects and built by local craftspeople as three linked buildings modelled on Cotswold farm architecture. They step down the slope of the land and face the 28-acre organic market garden, where most of what the kitchen serves is grown.

The Ox Barn is the largest space, 245 square metres with a long terrace over the garden. It seats 200 for dinner, divides for smaller formats, and the house sells it for post-dinner dancing as well as banquets. The Dovecote is a high-ceilinged barn of Cotswold stone with glass doors to the garden and a vast stone fireplace whose hearthstone was reclaimed from an old railway station platform; it seats 100. Between the two sits The Greenhouse, a glazed reception room with an oak bar faced in log cross-sections, used for arrival drinks.

The materials carry the estate's story: larch from the family's Wootton estate in Staffordshire, reclaimed elm, lime plaster and handcrafted wooden door handles. Menus are built on the farm's own produce, from the creamery, bakery and smokehouse, with wines from Château Léoube, the sister estate in Provence. The spaces open into one for a whole-building event of up to 300 standing, and a dedicated events team handles every enquiry.
