Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire

Dogmersfield Park is a Grade I listed Georgian manor house set in 500 acres of Hampshire parkland, woods and grazing land, about an hour from London. The estate appears in the Domesday Book of 1086, and Henry VII brought Prince Arthur here to meet Katherine of Aragon for the first time. The present brick house was begun in 1728, and after a long renovation it opened as Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire in 2005, with 134 rooms and suites.

The house takes celebrations at every scale and can be taken over entirely, with the whole property, its grounds and its services given to one party. The pillarless Four Seasons Ballroom is the largest room, 258 square metres with floor-to-ceiling windows and its own terrace and lawn, seating 200 for dinner and holding 250 for a reception. Its glazed pre-function area opens onto the terrace for drinks beforehand. The Mandeville Ballroom is reached through the glass link and down a marble staircase, and seats 100, which suits a candlelit ceremony or a smaller dinner.

Outside, the 16th-century Walled Garden takes ceremonies, receptions and long open-air dinners among the flower beds. In the oldest part of the manor house, the panelled Drawing Room holds 50 for a welcome reception. Fox Hollow, the private dining room of the Martin Brudnizki-designed Wild Carrot restaurant, seats 30 beside its own terrace. Four smaller rooms seat between 12 and 48.
