Church House Westminster occupies a Grade II listed building on Dean's Yard, a quiet green enclave in the shadow of Westminster Abbey and a short walk from Parliament. Designed by Sir Herbert Baker and opened by King George VI in 1940, it is best known for the Assembly Hall, a circular chamber crowned by a 30-foot glass dome, ringed with polished English oak and lit from above by daylight.
Across three floors sit some of central London's largest heritage event spaces. The Assembly Hall seats several hundred for a dinner and holds more for a standing reception; the oak-panelled Hoare Memorial Hall served as the temporary House of Commons during the Second World War, and the modern Harvey Goodwin Suite adds broadcast and live-streaming facilities. Smaller panelled rooms, from the Convocation Hall to the Council and Abbey Rooms, carry the same period detail at a more intimate scale.
Catering is handled exclusively by Searcys, and the building's soundproofed halls, in-house AV and dedicated events team suit galas, receptions and launches as readily as conferences. For a DJ-led evening the domed Assembly Hall is the headline room: a dressed, dramatic space that fills with light by day and takes colour and sound after dark.
