/ About
40 Duke is Selfridges' members' club, opened in May 2026 across 25,000 square feet on the fourth floor of the Oxford Street flagship, with its own entrance at 40 Duke Street. Membership runs through the Selfridges Unlocked programme: the store's top-tier customers hold full access, and other tiers come in by appointment. Interiors are by Simone McEwan and Sacha Leong of Nice Projects, furniture is selected by The Future Perfect, the art programme is curated by Matt Williams, and the club's music was composed by DJ PAM of Office PSR.
At its centre sits the Club Lounge, a 64-cover all-day restaurant and bar run by Cellar Society — the luxury caterer's first permanent site — with Julia Paterlini, formerly of Chiltern Firehouse and Spring, as head chef. The Club Room, an intimate private dining room, seats 14 around an oval stone table, and the Terrace adds a covered, planted outdoor room of 58 seats above Duke Street. Twenty-four studios and suites for personal shopping and beauty appointments complete the floor.
For private events, the Gallery, Showcase and Club Corner are flexible spaces that host exhibitions, brand activations and cultural takeovers, while the Club Room is bookable by members for private dinners. Access and hire run through membership, in the manner of the great house clubs.
