Indianapolis Colts v Washington Commanders, NFL London Games 2026

Sunday, 4 October 2026 Tottenham Hotspur Stadium · Tottenham

The Indianapolis Colts play the Washington Commanders at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 4 October 2026, kick-off 14:30, the first of three NFL London Games this autumn.

The NFL has played regular season games in London since 2007, when Wembley took the first of them, and the fixture has grown from a curiosity into a permanent part of the league’s calendar. Wembley was the exclusive home until 2015, Twickenham was added in 2016, and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium followed as the first purpose-built NFL venue anywhere outside the United States. It hosts a minimum of two games a year under a long-term agreement with the league, and London is now the only city outside America with a standing place in the season.

Purpose-built is meant literally. An artificial field sits underneath the grass one, and the building carries dedicated locker rooms for players, officials and cheerleaders along with its own broadcast, media and medical facilities. Nothing has to be adapted or trucked in, so a London crowd watches a game played to the same specification as one in Indianapolis, which was not true of the early Wembley years.

The Indianapolis Colts host the Washington Commanders on Sunday 4 October 2026 in Tottenham. The home designation belongs to the Colts, which means they give up a home date in Indianapolis to be here. London games kick off in the afternoon local time so that they reach an American morning audience. The league has staged games here every season since 2007 bar one.
