Don Giovanni

Kasper Holten’s staging of Mozart’s Don Giovanni returns to the Main Stage at Covent Garden from Thursday 10 September to Thursday 15 October 2026. Stefano Montanari conducts, with Gordon Bintner in the title role and Rachel Willis-Sørensen, Aigul Akhmetshina, Roberto Tagliavini and Bogdan Volkov leading the cast. It is sung in Italian with English surtitles, and the house gives the running time as three and a half hours — a first act of an hour and thirty-five minutes, a thirty-minute interval, a second act of an hour and twenty-five. Every date in the run is presently sold out, and returns are the only route in. The first night’s curtain is at half past six, a quarter of an hour earlier than the performances that follow it.
