The twelfth British Motor Yacht Show drew record attendance to the Hamble in 2025, with a world premiere and a run of UK debuts afloat.
The twelfth British Motor Yacht Show took place at Swanwick Marina on the River Hamble in Hampshire from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 May 2025. It fell in the sixtieth anniversary year of Princess, one of its founding builders.
Jack Newington started Fairline at Oundle in Northamptonshire in 1963. Princess was established in Plymouth in 1965, as Marine Projects. The Braithwaite brothers founded Poole Power Boats in 1969, and it became Sunseeker in 1985.
Premier Marinas curates the show with those three builders, six miles east of Southampton on the upper Hamble. The boats lie afloat and the format is appointment-led, so a buyer steps aboard from a pontoon and talks to the builder.
The 2025 edition drew record attendance and more than 80 vessels from over 40 brands. The Rib-X International Phaeton had its world premiere. Sunseeker gave the Manhattan 68 and Predator 55 their UK debuts in its largest display at the show.
The Pearl 63, the Fjord 39XP and the Bellini Astor 36 had their first British showings, and Sanlorenzo brought its largest line-up at any UK boat show. Among the smaller British yards, Dale and Rustler exhibited beside Cockwells and its Hardy 45.
