Kyriakos Pierrakakis is the minister who ran Greece’s digital transition before he ran its finances, and both halves are on the table here. The Hellenic Bankers Association UK brings him to the LSE with the Hellenic Observatory, for a conversation that runs from public debt and inflation through to education reform and digital governance.

Professor Vassilis Monastiriotis chairs — he holds the Eleftherios Venizelos Chair of Contemporary Greek Studies at the LSE — and Xenofon Zacharoudis, the Association’s Chairman, opens. Pierrakakis came to the ministry from Harvard’s Kennedy School and MIT by way of the research institute diaNEOsis, and served as Minister of State and Digital Governance from 2019 to 2023.

Half past six on the LSE campus, with the room disclosed to registered guests. This is the evening where London’s Greek financial community hears the policy first-hand rather than reading it.
