Reporting Britain, Reporting Greece: Journalistic Experiences

The Anglo-Hellenic League gathers correspondents based in Athens and London to consider a question each of them answers daily: what is it like to live in one country and report on it in another. The panel draws on careers spent across British and Greek media, and turns on the working realities of the foreign correspondent — the reading of a place from the outside, the translation of it for an audience that has never been there, and the shifts in both countries that have changed the job. Held at the Hellenic Centre in Marylebone, the evening is a conversation rather than a lecture, in the League’s long tradition of Anglo-Greek cultural exchange.
