The Standard, London occupies a restored 1974 Brutalist building opposite St Pancras International, and is the brand's first hotel outside America. Its rooftop carries the strongest draw for events: Decimo, the rooftop restaurant from Michelin-starred chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias, serves Spanish-meets-Mexican fire cooking under floor-to-ceiling skyline views, with a club-ready sound system and a DJ booth built in. One floor up, Sweeties is a velvet-and-marble discotheque with stacked speakers, a central DJ booth and a disco ball, reached by its own VIP lift.
The music runs deeper than the rooftop. The former Camden Library on the ground floor now houses Sounds Studio, a fully equipped recording and DJ space that hosts weekly sets and live broadcasts, while Townhouse 8 offers a vinyl library and listening room for more intimate gatherings. Double Standard and the Isla Terrace handle relaxed, daytime-into-evening events. Spaces are available for private hire, and the embedded DJ booths and house music programme make this one of central London's most natural homes for a DJ-led private party.
