Armoury House has stood on City Road since 1735, and the Honourable Artillery Company has been on the ground behind it a good deal longer. What that leaves is five acres of private lawn inside the City, with a Grade II listed house at one end and the Barbican towers on the skyline behind. Old Street and Moorgate are both a five-minute walk.
The house holds the historic rooms. The Long Room is the one people come for: oak panelling, regimental portraits, a minstrels' gallery, and a candlelit table for 172 or a reception of 250. The Queen's Room and the Ante Room sit on the ground floor for dinners of about 40. The Medal Room is lined with the Company's medal cabinets and takes a table of 40.
The Prince Consort Rooms are the other half of the offer and read nothing like the house. Converted from the regiment's drill hall, the room is a vaulted brick hall with a solid wood floor, its own entrance through a courtyard, an adjoining terrace and a separate registration area. It holds 690 for a reception and 350 at round tables, which makes it one of the larger single rooms available in the City.
Outside, the Artillery Garden takes 5,000 for a reception under marquees. Catering is in-house through Searcys.

The Long Room

Ante Room
PrivateA ground-floor room in pale yellow with a longcase clock and regimental colours on the walls, taking a round-table dinner of 44 or a reception of 60.
Queen's Room
PrivateA ground-floor room hung with portraits and a regimental tapestry, with a fireplace and windows to the garden. A long table of 42 or a reception of 60.
Medal Room
PrivateA first-floor room lined with the Company's medal cabinets and lit by arched windows, laid for a single table of 40. The most private of the dining rooms.
