Six Park Place

Six Park Place is the events side of Over-Seas House, the Royal Over-Seas League's Grade I listed clubhouse on Park Place. It is one of the last St James's houses with a real garden, and the garden backs directly onto Green Park, so the lawn reads as though it runs into the park.
Nine rooms are hired, and they do not match each other, which is the useful part. The Princess Alexandra Hall is the modern room, a purpose-built concert space with a Steinway and a fitted rig, taking 200. The Hall of India and Pakistan is the opposite: floor-to-ceiling silver-grey wood panelling, given to the club by the Indian government in 1937, at 150. The Drawing Room takes 200. The Brabourne Room is the dining room, Georgian, white-plastered, with a marble chimneypiece and windows onto the garden, and it is the room most private dinners take.
The garden itself hires for 60 and is the reason most enquiries arrive: a terrace, a lawn, mature planting and the park beyond, in a postcode where outdoor space of that size does not otherwise exist. Rooms interconnect, so a reception in one moves to dinner in another without leaving the floor.
Catering is in-house, and eighty-three bedrooms sit above the event rooms.

Drawing Room

Princess Alexandra Hall

The Garden

Bennet-Clark Room
