Serra

Serra is the all-day Southern Mediterranean restaurant inside The Chancery Rosewood, the former American Embassy on Grosvenor Square that Rosewood reopened in September 2025. It sits behind tall windows that run the length of the square, with green velvet banquettes, cane chairs, mirrored columns and brass lighting. The interiors are by AvroKo, worked in stone, rattan, emerald green and gilded gold, and daylight carries through the room from morning service to dinner. Chef de cuisine Alex Povall, previously at Berenjak and Angela Hartnett's Murano, draws the cooking from the coasts of southern Italy and Greece: crudo, house-baked breads, pasta and shared plates.

A standalone bar anchors one corner in copper and marble, with a mirrored back bar and a view onto the townhouses across the road. It works on its own for a drinks reception before guests move through to the tables.

For private occasions there is a dedicated private dining room seating up to twelve, framed by floor-to-ceiling windows and full of daylight. The hotel keeps a separate event entrance, so a gathering here stays quiet from the rest of the house.
