LUUM

LUUM occupies the lower ground floor of 19 Motcomb Street, the former Pantechnicon building in the heart of Belgravia, and opened in November 2024 as a late-night Latin American cocktail lounge. The design draws on Mayan-inspired richness: a sweeping marble bar lined with red velvet stools, deep green velvet armchairs, leafy hand-printed walls, and a gilded mirrored ceiling that reflects the amber glow of the room back on itself. It is a subterranean space that feels deliberately cut off from the street above.

Four arched private snugs ring the main bar, each with curved vaulted walls finished in warm terracotta render, velvet banquette seating and a single low table — the kind of alcove that makes a group of eight feel genuinely enclosed. A central DJ booth anchors the main floor and a resident sound system runs through the space, with regular DJ sets and live percussion forming part of the weekly programme. The bar programme centres on agave and sugarcane spirits, with cocktails served in clay vessels designed by Mihaly Herczeg alongside small plates from the kitchen team.

For private hire, the whole venue seats 80 and stands 120, with the alcohol licence running to 2:30am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The snugs can accommodate smaller groups within a full-venue event or be reserved as semi-private areas. The address puts it within a few minutes of Knightsbridge and Sloane Square stations.
