/ About
Luca occupies a Grade II listed building on St John Street, at the edge of Clerkenwell where the streets still keep a little of London's Little Italy. It is a Modern Italian restaurant built on British-Italian produce, refined without being formal, and the aperitivo bar at the front sets the tone the moment you step in. Behind it the dining room opens onto a planted courtyard, and the kitchen works in full view.
For private events there are three distinct rooms, each with its own character. The Terrace is the signature space: a secluded courtyard under a glazed roof, planted with olive trees and jasmine, warmed by an open fire in the evening and lit by daylight for lunch. The Pasta Room is styled after a traditional Italian home kitchen and is where the chefs make pasta each day. The Garden Room, the most intimate of the three, keeps the building's original features and looks over the open kitchen. The whole restaurant is also available for exclusive hire.
The rooms give a spread from an eight-seat table to a courtyard of twenty, with the option to take the building entire, which suits everything from a close celebration to a launch that needs the run of the place.
