/ About
Labombe by Trivet occupies the corner of COMO Metropolitan London on Old Park Lane, the ground-floor room that once held the Met Bar, with its own entrance onto the street. It is the second restaurant from Jonny Lake and Isa Bal, the chef and master sommelier behind the two-Michelin-starred Trivet in Southwark, and it grew out of the Monday-night wine bar they ran there under the same name. Within a year of opening in 2025 it held a Michelin star of its own.
The cooking, led by head chef Evan Moore, is built around a wood-fired grill: eclectic, Mediterranean-leaning sharing plates that run from a hot tongue bun to whole grilled fish. Wine is the throughline. Isa Bal and Philipp Reinstaller keep a 650-bin list with around fifty wines by the glass, and a glass-enclosed cellar of more than a thousand bottles anchors the entrance. Umay Çeviker of Derin Yeşil, who designed the original Trivet, gave the sixty-five-cover room plaster walls, cognac-suede banquettes, natural-wood floors and Calacatta Viola marble tables, hung with rotating work by emerging British artists.
For private events the restaurant offers a separate, wheelchair-accessible private dining room seating up to twelve at a single table, and the whole room is available for exclusive hire, with menus and layouts built around the occasion. Its scale and central-Mayfair address suit intimate celebrations and seated dinners.
