/ About

The Guildhall Club occupies the third floor of Guildhall, in the members' private club area of the City of London Corporation's building on Gresham Street. It is a separate proposition from the Guildhall's own hire spaces: where the Great Hall and the crypts beneath it are let for civic-scale occasions, the Club is a small suite of panelled dining rooms with windows onto the City skyline, and it is booked through the Club Office rather than the Guildhall events team.

Three rooms are listed for hire. The Main Dining Room takes fifty at table under a coffered timber ceiling, with glazed cabinets of silver along the inner wall and a run of tall windows facing the rooftops. The Aldermen's Dining Room seats thirty-two at a single long table, set against painted panels of civic regalia and a gilt overmantel mirror. The Members' Private Dining Room seats the same number beneath burr-walnut coffering, crystal bowl chandeliers and armorial shields let into the ceiling beams.

Hire runs through the Club rather than an open diary. A booking must come from a group sponsored by a Member, from a City livery company or ward club, or from an organisation connected to the City and approved by the Chair of the Club House Committee. Catering is handled in house.
