Dormy House Hotel & Spa

Dormy House stands at the highest point of the Farncombe estate on Willersey Hill, above the village of Broadway, with 500 acres of private land around it. At its heart is a 17th-century Cotswold stone farmhouse, extended over the years into a hotel of 39 bedrooms and suites. It is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, and has been hosting weddings and private parties for more than forty years.

The house can be taken whole. Exclusive use gives a party every bedroom, sleeping 78, along with The Back Garden restaurant, The Shed bar, the lounges and the landscaped gardens and terraces, and the hotel states space for up to 150 guests. The Back Garden, a light room with tall windows over the gardens, seats 60 and takes 120 for an evening reception, and it is where the house puts the dancing. The spa stays open to its local members during a buyout, though every guest can use it.

Smaller dinners have their own rooms. The Top Table is a stone-walled nook with a single banqueting table, and The Tack Room sits inside The Shed for fourteen. MO, the chef's table listed in the MICHELIN Guide, serves an eight-course tasting menu to twelve guests a night.
