/ About
Chez Rose opened on Pollen Street in June 2026, on the site that was once Little Social. It is the first solo restaurant from Spencer Metzger, the chef behind Mayfair's Row on 5, opened in partnership with Jason and Irha Atherton and named for Metzger's grandmother, Rosemary Roth. The cooking is unshowy modern French: steak tartare with pomme gaufrette, plaice with brown shrimp, poulet en cocotte, an outsized chocolate soufflé.
The room reads as a proper old-school bistro. Green banquettes, white tablecloths, tiled floors and candlelight fill a space of around forty covers, with a few pavement tables facing Pollen Street. A wine room at the back doubles as the private dining room and anchors the wine programme, with mature vintages and themed tasting dinners.
For private events, the wine room suits intimate seated dinners, while the restaurant can be taken exclusively for larger groups. Group bookings run on a set menu, arranged through the reservations team.
