/ About

Blenheim Palace is the baroque seat of the Dukes of Marlborough and the birthplace of Winston Churchill, set in more than 2,000 acres of 'Capability' Brown parkland outside Woodstock and inscribed as a World Heritage Site. The family still lives here, and the State Dining Room is where they mark their own occasions.

For private events the palace opens its state rooms in the evening. The Long Library, one of the longest rooms in any British stately home, holds 10,000 books and the Willis Organ and looks out over Achille Duchene's water terraces; it seats 250 for dinner. The Great Hall, the principal entrance, takes 150 for dinner or pairs with the Library for a reception, and the Marlborough Room and Spencer Churchill Room suit smaller lunches and dinners.

The Orangery, with its own bar and a private terrace over the Italian Garden and South Lawn, seats 150 and takes 250 standing. Beyond the house, marquees can be built in approved spots on the parkland for events far larger than the rooms allow. A dedicated events team plans each occasion, and pre-approved outside caterers may work in the Great Hall and Long Library, while the Orangery is catered in-house.
