/ About

Beaverbrook Town House occupies two restored Georgian houses at the Knightsbridge end of Sloane Street, a London outpost of the Beaverbrook estate in Surrey and a tribute to the press baron Lord Beaverbrook. Behind blue-awninged doors are fourteen suites, each named for a celebrated London theatre, alongside a Japanese restaurant, a cocktail bar and a private dining room, all wrapped in the bold, collected interiors the group is known for.

The ground floor belongs to The Fuji Grill, a Japanese kitchen built around "Tapasu", small sharing plates and hand-rolled temaki served beneath sage-green panelling hung with woodblock prints, with a sushi counter running an Omakase menu in the evenings. Sir Frank's Bar is the social heart of the house: an Art Deco room in lapis blue with a curved illuminated back-bar and tan leather stools, walk-in and convivial, the kind of room a set takes over.

For private events the Butterfly Room sits on the lower ground floor, panelled in rose lacquer and mirrored glass, lined with framed Japanese butterfly prints and opening onto a planted courtyard. It seats sixteen for dinner or holds thirty for a reception, with a presentation screen for daytime meetings, and the intimate scale and sound-contained basement setting suit a private dinner with a DJ rather than a ballroom crowd.
