Walpole’s British Luxury Awards filled the ballroom at The Dorchester in November 2025, and Gusbourne was named British Luxury Brand of the Year.
Walpole presented its annual British Luxury Awards to more than 400 guests in the ballroom at The Dorchester in Mayfair on Monday 10 November 2025. The actor Omari Douglas hosted.
Walpole began in 1990 as the Churchill Group, set up by British companies including British Airways, Coutts and the Savoy Group, and took Robert Walpole’s name in 1992. It speaks for around 270 British brands on tax-free shopping, skills, tourism and trade, and first held its luxury awards in 2001.
The categories cover making, sustainability, design, hospitality and culture, so a car maker, a vineyard and an opera house can share an evening. On the night, the chief executive, Helen Brocklebank, put the sector’s value at £81 billion, growing by 11 per cent a year.
Fourteen honours were given. Gusbourne took British Luxury Brand of the Year, and Raymond Blanc received the Visionary award.
Aston Martin won the Game Changer award for the Valhalla, and Beaverbrook won a new Luxury Experience award for dining in a hot-air balloon with Royal Ascot. The Royal Ballet and Opera took the WOLF Award for Future Legacy for keeping crafts such as wig making alive. David Collins Studio received the award for Outstanding Contribution.
