The autumn Decorative Fair runs in Battersea Park from 29 September to 4 October 2026, over 130 specialist dealers from the 1700s to the 1970s.
The Decorative Antiques and Textiles Fair launched in 1985, family-owned, on a proposition nobody else was making at the time: that the antiques trade and the interior design trade should be selling to the same person in the same room. It was the first British fair to admit post-war design alongside period pieces, and its dateline now runs to 1979. Battersea Park has been its home since 1997, where it put up the marquee that every other London fair has since copied.
Forty years of that has produced a fair with a constituency rather than a catalogue. The buyer here is the decorator and the private client, not the museum, so the test a piece has to pass is whether somebody will live with it. Exhibitors are invited rather than admitted, and only from established businesses in Britain and Europe, which is what keeps the floor consistent across three editions a year.
The autumn edition runs from 29 September to 4 October 2026, the middle of the three. More than 130 dealers show antiques, twentieth-century design and decorative objects from the 1700s to the 1970s, alongside painting, prints and sculpture. Tribal Art London takes the mezzanine for the same run, the only British fair given to original tribal and ethnographic material. A courtesy coach runs from Sloane Square throughout the six days.
