One Club Row

One Club Row opened in April 2025 above the Knave of Clubs pub, in a Grade II listed Victorian building on the corner of Club Row and Bethnal Green Road. It comes from James Dye and Benjy Leibowitz, with Patrick Powell as culinary director, and the cooking sits between a New York tavern and a Paris bistro: steak tartare on beef dripping toast, a cheeseburger au poivre, schnitzel under sauce moutarde. The bar is as much the point as the tables.

It books out. Reservations open eight weeks ahead and go quickly, which is why it sits on the 2026 lists of the hardest tables in the city alongside The Dover and The Devonshire, and why the MICHELIN Guide lists it. That is unusual for a room barely a year old and it is the reason it is here.

The private hire is upstairs. The second floor holds the former apartment of the building's previous owners, a series of rooms with original fireplaces, floorboards and sash windows over the Shoreditch rooftops. Taken together as The Apartment it seats 50 or holds 60 standing, with its own bar, and it is available Tuesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner. The venue's own listing states no noise restrictions and welcomes a guest's own DJ; the room is soundproofed and air-conditioned, and the licence runs to 11pm.
