Glyndebourne’s flagship summer season runs from 21 May to 30 August 2026 in the house’s own auditorium, under the Downs outside Lewes. The Festival is built around a ninety-minute interval rather than the twenty most houses allow: guests picnic in the gardens or dine in the restaurants, and the curtain goes up early enough to make that possible. The closing week carries Puccini’s Tosca from 27 to 30 August, Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail on the 28th and Strauss’s Ariadne auf Naxos on the 29th. Tosca is already selling on returns only, which is the usual state of the Festival’s last fortnight by the time August arrives.
