/ About

Jackson Boxer, the chef behind Dove in Notting Hill and Brunswick House in Vauxhall, opened Vesper on the corner of Exmouth Market in May 2026. Named for the Roman word for the evening star, it drew rapid critical attention. The daily-changing menu mixes British produce with a wider, more idiosyncratic reach — squid stuffed with shrimp and blood sausage, and a famously limited off-menu burger served to just ten guests a day.

The room is dressed in whitewashed brick and riveted, zinc-clad steel panelling, with timber-framed windows wrapping the corner site. A bar sits at the entrance; behind it, the 70-cover dining room runs candlelit tables under exposed beams, with bistro tables set out on the pavement terrace.

A semi-private room seats up to twelve guests for a shared set menu, booked directly through the restaurant's own reservation system, a discreet option for a small private group.
