The Beaumont has taken the corner of Brown Hart Gardens and turned it into a restaurant of its own. Pearl opens in September 2026 as a standalone room and terrace, addressed to the gardens rather than to the hotel lobby.
The room
Pearl will sit under a circular rooflight, with curved glazing that folds back onto the terrace. The published design is warm rather than grand: travertine floors, patterned tub chairs, red velvet, a single large canvas on a plastered wall. The terrace is the point of it. It extends onto Brown Hart Gardens, which is being replanted to a new design by Nigel Dunnett, and the reference the house gives is Milanese piazzas and Riviera promenades rather than the enclosed courtyards Mayfair usually offers.
The hotel already holds that address in a literal sense. A giant semi-abstract sculpture by Sir Antony Gormley dominates The Beaumont’s entrance front on Brown Hart Gardens, and the interior of it is the bedroom of one of the hotel’s suites. Pearl’s terrace will open out beneath it.
The kitchen
Lisa Goodwin-Allen is culinary director. She holds a Michelin star at Northcote in Lancashire, where she has been at the stove for two decades. The menu is Mediterranean, built as small and large plates, and draws on Italy, Spain and Greece rather than a single national kitchen.
The room is designed to change through the day. Breakfast, lunch, late-afternoon aperitivo and a family-style dinner service each get their own register, which is a harder thing to hold than a single sitting and is the reason the terrace matters: it gives the room somewhere to put the hours between services.
For a host
Pearl takes exclusive hire and private events, and enquiries go to the restaurant direct at sales@pearlmayfair.com. A dining room that opens onto a public garden is an unusual proposition in W1: the terrace gives a party a footprint most Mayfair rooms cannot offer, and the glazing means the two halves can be taken together or apart.
The Beaumont is already in our venue directory. Pearl is listed on Opening Soon and will be added in its own right once it is trading.
