Anglo-Hellenic League Runciman Award Ceremony

The 2025 Runciman Award — the annual prize for the finest writing on a Greek theme — presented before a learned audience in the Great Hall at King's.

The Runciman Award is the annual prize for the finest book published on a Greek theme, presented by the Anglo-Hellenic League. For 2025 the prize went to Sasha Dugdale for “The Strongbox”, announced before an audience of writers, academics and diplomats in the Great Hall of King’s College London. Named after the historian Sir Steven Runciman, the ceremony pairs the award with a keynote lecture in a scholarly, warm register. It is a long-running fixture of Anglo-Greek cultural life on the Strand.
