First Growth Bordeaux Dinner with Michel Roux Jr

Since Le Gavroche closed, eating Michel Roux Jr’s cooking has become a matter of catching him somewhere, and on Friday 30 October 2026 that somewhere is the Director’s Dining Room at 3 St James’s Street, which Berry Bros. & Rudd describes as its most exclusive space. He devises four courses for the evening and stays in the room throughout, taking the dishes course by course. The wines are the reason for the price: a 2013 Dom Pérignon en magnum to start, then 2020 Haut-Brion Blanc, 2016 Château Margaux en magnum, 2016 Mouton Rothschild, 2009 Latour, 1996 Lafite Rothschild, 1986 Haut-Brion and a 2016 d’Yquem to close. Seven until half past ten, smart casual, and strictly two tickets per transaction so the table stays the size it is meant to be.
