Berenjak Mayfair

Berenjak opened its Mayfair dining room on 20 March 2026, the first day of the Persian new year. It is the third London site for Kian Samyani's Persian kitchen, part of the JKS group, and its largest, taking the corner of Duke Street and Brown Hart Gardens over two floors. Atelier Wren drew the interiors from the coastal villas of Shomal in northern Iran: dark wood panelling, painted coffered ceilings, framed prints and low lamplight.

The room upstairs holds booths and alcoves, while a warm-lit staircase leads down to a second dining room beside the open kitchen, the quieter and more hidden half of the restaurant. Fifty-three seats sit inside, among them a seven-seat private dining room, with a further twenty on the terrace. The wine list runs to more than seventy bins across old and new world, Berenjak's largest to date, alongside a cocktail list built on Persian ingredients.

For private events the seven-seat room takes an intimate dinner behind its own curtain, and larger group bookings run across the two floors. Music sits easily in this setting: the dining rooms carry an in-house sound system, and the panelled, low-lit rooms suit a private dinner that carries on into the evening.
