The O2 sits at the head of the Greenwich Peninsula, a covered site holding an arena, a second live room and a run of premium spaces beneath one roof. It opened in 2007 under AEG and reaches its twentieth year in 2027. The arena works between 800 and 20,000 guests depending on the layout, seating 800 to 1,600 on the floor for a dinner, and the building opens fourteen en-suite dressing rooms, premium lounges and backstage areas that are otherwise closed. The hire product is corporate: conferences, awards ceremonies and gala dinners at a scale almost nothing else in London can take.
